    hydroponic Simple Outdoor Hydroponic Setup?

Hi friends, I'm looking for people's opinions of outdoor hydro setups. I've never done any hydro growing, but would like to get into it this year. I'm looking for simplicity. The Krakty method seems cool and easy - does anyone have any experience with that method? What size containers would be...

pests Pest Identification - plz help my baby

So I've got another issue coming up on some baccatum babes that were overwintered. These fellas have survived an incredible aphid infestation, and I'd hate to see them go down to this. Anyone recognize this?    It's cropped up in the past 2 days. Should I cut out all the effected area?     ...

New Growth DYING - fungal disease?

Anyone recognize this issue? Looks like all the new growth is really struggling... Fungal? Didn't notice any insects; looked pretty closely.      I was gone for 4 days, fertilized everyone before I left. All the other peps look fine though, so I don't think I've burned this one.      Y'all...

    Curling Leaf Tips

What does it mean when the tips of leaves curl like this? I'm guessing too much light / Not enough water?      I recently dealt with a major aphid issue. I realized that immediate total war (and relocation of mature plants) was the only way to save the seedlings. After moving the big boys, I...

broken branch -- will it heal after lashing?

Look good to me. Maybe tie some more up higher (I'm looking at the two fat nodes); you'd get better leverage on the weight of the branch if there was a higher point of contact. Recall moment-arms!    As an aside, some plants do well when a split like this happens (not peppers lol). Hedges used...

pests Leggy Seedilings - and aphids

and it will really help. Have you given the seedlings any fertilizer?  It's too early for really "any" nutes at this point, whether in the soil or with your water.   Good luck man!           Also, got another quick question about cotyledon. Before I up-potted the rockwool into soil...

pests Leggy Seedilings - and aphids

I've got an adjustable intensity LED light, so I just turned it up to ~80% from ~20%. Do you have any experience seeing the line of too much / not enough light? I'd imagine they'de be toppling over with too much light as well, wouldn't they?

pests Leggy Seedilings - and aphids

So I've just learned an important lesson on the heat pad; you're supposed to take them off the heat once they've sprouted.     These seem very leggy and likely to fall over. I've just transplanted from rockwool into small degradable pots with some good draining soil in them. I tried to bury the...

overwintering Overwinter Grow - Keep'in 'em going

I thought crisping the plant would only be an issue with HID bulbs. I've got 5W LEDs; can these still damage foliage if positioned too close? I'd think metal halides / sodium vapor would roast them, not LEDs. Is this thought incorrect? These LEDs put off negligible heat.    So for the Hab...

overwintering Overwinter Grow - Keep'in 'em going

So I've set up a basic grow area to [hopefully] keep my peps going through winter.      I've got a few Aji Limons, a Chocolate Habanero, Fish Pepper, and a haba'nada! I recently pruned the Aji Limons fairly heavily. I've got a specific question about energy allocation. Aji Limon (baccatum) has...

    Low Stress Training - pointers?

Hello everyone! I've been a'lurking this forum for quite some time now... I LOVE this corner of the internet. This is my first post, and I'll have a few other questions coming soon!    I've been experimenting a bit with LST on a Chocolate Habanero.      As you can hopefully see (not sure of...
