    Let's see your seed collection.

Its been a long time since I have been on this forum and c that there are a lot of new names here but couldn't resist  after seeing this thread, lot of work putting these back in order though.  My interests have changed and contemplating what to do with a lot of this collection. Roughly 2000...

    It's this the norm?

I'm stumped then.  6.5 is optimal ph for peppers but if they are doing good in a lower ph then I would leave it low.

    It's this the norm?

Optimal ph for pepper plants is not that low. I could be wrong but regardless which way you are growing them don't you have to keep the ph at whatever the plant needs it 2 be?

    It's this the norm?

    Tall and scragly

Seems to me that light may also be an issue, even if the plant was full of leaves shouldn't there b more branching. unless they are some sort of wild variety.

    beginner grower

Lots of people overlook the pubescens species and with less than 8hrs of sun are a perfect plant to grow. Some of them are crazy hot as well.

    cloning Cloning help needed

No need for nutes, you do not want top growth just roots. Clonex gel and Clonex liquid and they will root. Don't forget the air stone. And as stated above minimal light and no light directly above.
