Well, it has been a long time between the proverbial drinks! I didn't really get over the shitness of last season (lest we forget), and to be honest I stuck to my guns. What survives overwintering is what I will eat this season.
It's paid off too! Ive got loads of stuff coming thru and my scorps are just nuts atm.

So yeah - just enuff variety to keep me going over this season and I shall start anew for next season.

Anyways - how be thee? ;)

Awesome to hear your efforts are finally being rewarded... you seriously deserve that!

The few plants that I overwintered are pumping it too. Definitely gonna overwinter as much as I can at the end of this season and hopefully cut down BIG TIME on fresh starts.

Yeah, other than that, getting smashed by broad mite ATM. Worst infestation I have had to deal with yet. Usually get all Rogor on their asses but the little shit SOBs have grown resistant to it (plus I now fin...

Haha...no mate, I haven't. Still getting over the devastation of last season :( I will get onto it all soon tho.
    LOL
Gotta watch them underdogs! I tried my hand at a whole bunch of cross-pollination and the only two that took were (of course) on my two sickest plants! Now I'm left babying two plants I probably should have given up on by now in the hopes that I can keep 'em alive long enough until the crossed pods ripen...
Hey Gas, nah, the season ended up pretty much as expected! Ive got some pods coming through from a given up on plant from the other season?! Moved everything out the front for the northern sun and there's flowers starting to appear everywhere.. should get some pics - it's a motley f***ing crew... haha
Hey mate, haven't heard from you in ages! Thought I would check in and see how you're doing?
How's the season wrapping up for ya? Hope you've seen alot more pods since we last spoke!
And just about time to go through it all again, hey? hahaha
Bit hectic, but my place was cool. Chillis? That's another story...
Big Red is looking shit. Caterpillars attacked it, then all that weather struck. I'm positive, but only just!
Hi mate, how has everything been? I hope you didn't cop anything too bad where you were. Mackay was spared from anything too bad though some people I know from work lost everything in towns like Emerald and Rockhampton.
Hey mate, how are things on your end? Everything turn out OK at your ex's? It sure has been one hell of a week, hasn't it!
Really glad to hear you were spared too. God knows we can all use some good news at the moment :S I might be working tomorrow, but if not, I'm gonna wander down and see if there's anything I can do to help.
    Take care matey.
cont - who was knee deep to remove his chooks and move stuff upstairs. $am this morn, dark and just fearful. Saw the shit washing down the river at Colmslie, and I admit to shedding a tear or two. The look in the kids eyes, my ex' fear... I'm back in Logan now, a beer and trying to get a little balance back.
I know what you mean.. all last night helping my ex at Norman Park get everything upstairs, got the dogs and other pets and spent a nervous time there waiting for 4.02am... Couldnt sleep with the constant police and SES vehicles, their radios, the choppers overhead and the fear of the unknown. Part of the street (Frank St) went under yesterday and we spent the evening helping a friend in Adina St
BTW, thanks heaps for the offer of helping to clean up if need be! VERY much appreciated! (though, now looks like I will offering myself to others instead.....)
[contd.] The relief was short lived though when I found out that just 2 streets over, a good friend was not so lucky. And just when I thought I couldn't worry any more greatly than I already have been, my sister and her family live in Goondiwindi and there is a situation arising there tonight. Everything feels so surreal atm and I am sick in the pit of my stomach.
Mate, went out to New Farm today to check things out and I am blessed! My unit has so far been spared. Our garages are underwater and there is water almost all around our complex but all units are fine. Had it peaked to 5.5 as originally predicted, most probably would've been another story. The relief was short lived though when I found out that just 2 streets over, a good friend was no...
Hey John, horrible thing, isn't it? I am currently seeking refuge at my mum's place in Logan. I myself live about 200-300m from the Brisbane river and was advised at around 10am this morning to evacuate. When I left at midday, the river had not broke the bank but was very close to doing so. I live on a bottom floor unit and not looking forward to returning when floods ease. :
Hey Dave, alls good - the weather and caterpillars are making stuff more difficult than necessary, but I can't complain.
    How be thee?
Haha, yeah I'm so glad I went 'mobile' for this season! As I write this, an even bigger one is just about to hit...more hail too. How'd you fare?
Dave, yeah I'll get in touch with him and send him your number if he's still chasing?
How are your bad boys anyway? I'm kinda mobile at present, so we should catch up for a pre-Chrimbo chat and an ale soon?
