Hey Zoey, glad to see some improvement. I've been pretty busy and have had little time to respond. I would say eliminate the fertilizer all together at this point and just use water. The leaves are so dark green and the leave are scrunched still indicating there is too much fertilizer present...
All of the leaves fell off of the jalapeños and some off of the Habs. However, I'm glad I didn't toss all of them (I did toss two of five) because they are sprouting some new leaves from the nodes where the others dropped. I'm keeping my fingers crossed and hope they pull through.
I'm stumped...
SvtCobra, I was feeding them MaxiGrow at low ppm of 200-300. I agree I should have transplanted sooner but there was no time. Ironically I was planning on transplanting the day they got sick/started dying.
I appreciate the rest of the input. I can't think of what might have otherwise...
The edema has been there for about 1.5 weeks with no signs of overwatering and then all of sudden these symptoms in a matter of a couple of days. Strange.
I went away on Friday for a weekend trip and bottom watered my chili plants that were doing exceptionally well and showed only some edema on the jalapeño variety. I came back Sunday evening shocked to discover two of the jalapeño variety looking ghastly pale yellow. The soil was absolutely dry...
Same here Zoey. I'm also learning alongside through the issues you are having as well.
The dark green leaves are definitely a nitrogen abundance. I would just use water until the leaves straighten out a bit and lose the wrinkles/waves. Leaves curling up could be overwatering or low humidity I...
Ya I think it was me providing you with a link to GH and suggesting you cut it down. I would actually just use water for a while until they "regain themselves." Over fertilizing will ironically cause stunting and can in some instances be used strategically for certain purposes but I'm...
I've got 5 jalapeños going so many because I'd like to smoke them and make chipotle powder; 3 chocolate habaneros; 2 poblanos, I believe; and one Guajillo. I am also trying to reasesitate my Thai chili plant From last year. But if that fails I'll just go get a few Bonnie offers. I wanted to...
I've got about 11 going. This is my first pepper grow and it was easy to get a bit out of control and I don't have the space for it so I had to really limit myself. I will probably expand next year. These guys started sprouting on the 1st of Febrauary and this is then just a minute ago:
I...
Soil used for containers was one of my major issues last summer and it almost killed most of my tomato seedlings before I found out what the issue was. I used mostly manure and peat, not thinking things through and the medium turned into a bog. I didn't catch the issue – because it was in a...
