Picked a couple of veggies to make some cabbage soup. The last head of the Bonnie cabbages, a Kossak Kohlrabi, a couple of onions, and not shown here freshly picked bell peppers.

We've been eating fresh tomatoes and making fresh salsa, etc. but they're coming in hot and heavy now so I'll be canning tomatoes this weekend.

Harvested onions this morning.
Most were this size.
A few were bigger, like these.
Tops off in 3 trays added up to 26+ pounds.

hard to get good onions her, alwasy moldy skins, rely on the garden for Onions, planted over 200 red onion bulbs, hope to get lots then I will dehydrate them.

I picked some more cabbage, Megaton and Red Acre, and a few Konan Kohlrabi. I like the Kossak Kohlrabi better as it tends to grow bigger with a rounder shape.
Looks like coleslaw and more fried cabbage on the horizon. I'll have to chop off a bunch or two of celery in the morning.

Picked a few more Lemon Boy tomatoes today.
Sometimes you get a "funny" one.

Things are a bit fruity around here this week.
I picked the fruit off of our young Lychee tree, it's the first year of producing fruit. They taste pretty good. I may try some in a sauce!

Also yesterday I picked the first of this years pineapples. Eleven more to go as they ripen.
A lot of Mangos coming ripe now. So far I have just been picking up the ones that fall from the wind, probably about 25 so far. I roughly counted 40 -- 50 left on the tree yet.

The tasty insdes of the Lychee.
It looks as though there's a new thief in the area, I thought I had taken care of them all but they just keep coming.
I'm going to put the camera out tonite. Maybe I'll get my new Hatsan Blitz pellet rifle ready for action!
