I am a pepper genomic researcher

:welcome: aboard!

:welcome: From the Pacific NorthWest!

Welcome to THP. Anymore info you'd like to add?
I am working on plant genomics and bioinformatics and have recently sequenced a pepper genome which was reported here: https://www.nature.com/articles/s41467-022-31112-x. I found this species is very helpful in further elucidating the evolution of plant genome, 3D genome, and phenotypes. There are a lot of wild species and varieties related to the cultivated pepper, my long goal is to use genomic technology to sequence most of the genomes of the wild species and interesting varieties, and aim to show how the pepper species evolve to so diverse. So, I visit here to ask for help with collecting seeds of wild species which we will sequence the genome. I am now working at the University of California, and will soon open our own lab elsewhere.

Very interesting! You will find some people here that have a lot of knowledge about wild peppers, and I would also recommend:
