contest Growdown Throwdown 2025 - Resurrection

the first couple leaf pairs on mine are showing that mottled look, but the bottom leaves are not black like bou's, and the upper ones are all green. i have striping all the way up the stems also.

@Bou what type of light do you have on them?
Yeah, the striping on the stem is always proeminent! I have 2 cheap MarsHydro TS600 and one homemade lamp that is not on yet (2 Samsung Horticulture L2 strips + 1 HLG QB18 V2) but it will soon be because the growing table is constantly expanding as the plants grow!

does my light have too much red or too much light-blue/green, then?:

and i think the light i have is a higher output (than a single mars)

@growyourown Perhaps more to do with intensity than color...

***Edit*** I use the Photone app (free; Android) to measure the light intensity that plants receive. I periodically adjust the height of my lamps so that the canopy stays in the 300-500 PPFD range.

i have seen a lot of you guys using that, i guess i should give it a try. my approach has always been very laissez-faire, but it's probably a good idea for me to try harder (especially with the contest on the line)

Little bit closer picture of this one.

It’s been under the sun almost exclusively.
It was pretty dark when it first came up and was under full spectrum LED lighting.
