glog JAB FARMS to GLOG again (hopefully better than '24!)

Ok, the craziness has started at JAB FARM! I had fun posting last year so will attempt to do again with better updates as we go. I know we picked well over 20,000 peppers last year and think with the fertilizing schedule I worked with last season, I think we can do more :)

Ok. It has been WAY too long since I've updated. I hope you understand between keeping 1200+ peppers and 300+ tomatoes alive... a full time job that has been NUTS since beginning of this year and of course our normal home life... this has been on the list - just haven't gotten to it. Life gets in the way. Lets hope I can update more often going forward but here is progress dating back a while. *sigh*

This is the craziest part of everything I am growing. USUALLY, the Superhots (Carolina Reaper, Dragon's Breath, California Reaper, White Moruga, Apocalypse Scorpions, and others are something I fight and baby until I get in buckets... um. This year? Well, Not sure what is happening but they are strong, healthy, THICK stalks and ready to roll. This is again, like 3 weeks ago. They are even bigger now! (Superhots are on bottom shelf). Helios, Puma, Superhots... Crazy right?

Again, 3 weeks ago. Before I moved the tomato's to the other greenhouse and this large greenhouse became pepper heaven. I'll have some more up to date ones soon. Habanero and Superhots to the left and Jalapeno, Aji, and many others to the right...(Tomato's taking up space in back and along topside ;))

Garden as of a while back. I will be adding more tomorrow and this weekend and should have a bunch of superhots out ready to take off more! I HOPE to update this - this weekend. Tomatoes in (Over 70 total in garden currently and a bunch of the hot peppers thriving already due to our ridiculous heat already.

For some reason my picture on the deck of my superhots didn't come through - will update once it does. Hope all are doing well. This has been a tough one here. I'm getting over sinus infection of sorts that knocked me out Fri/Sat so had some serious catching up to do today. More to come soon. Look forward to catching up on other glogs! Hopefully soon.

This weekend I will be filling those last buckets (~30) and pots we have... I hopefully will have the energy to update after I mix the dirt for those buckets. I might have mentioned before (sorry can't remember), since I could not find my Miracle Grow Organic Container mix (black bag) - no idea what is going on there - so I went with Regular Miracle Grow Garden Soil (green bag) and mixed with my fav Fox Farm Veggie mix and Perlite. This made the mix I need and thinking ahead saved us some $ as those bags are $2 a piece now. Black bag organic (when can find) is closer to $8. While I am not a organic guy, this mix worked well last year - so was hoping to have some of those mixed in again to help my back and ease going forward. Not so much luck this year. I have 20 or so bags of the Green stacked - so should be able to tackle a good amount of those buckets. Will need some more of course but on my way. Did plant several cuc's today (as it was supposed to rain). It went around us, so no luck luck there, but they will be good. I'm pretty happy with overall adjustment of peppers being outside. Only lost a couple (replaced two Chocolate Scotch Bonnet's today - no idea what happened to them and have a couple more to go, like a cayenne or two...) but most have done very well and thriving. Starting to see my nemesis the slugs out (as we did have 3+ inches of rain the other day - so they are out and enjoying my new growth). I'll be using old/stale beer on them this weekend as well. Can't let those bastards destroy all the new growth :)
