plant-care Minimum Temps for C. chinense Plant Out?

A few weeks ago, @Marturo made a really good point about waiting until temps were right for planting out peppers, without the risk of setback. I've got my C. chinenses still under the grow lights, getting root bound and waiting for plantout. I'm anticipating this week, because low temps are looking to get around or above the 55 degree mark with highs closer to 80. I use 55 as the mark because that's what I had read from growers many years ago.

Now my question is what you've all found to be the optimum temp for C. chinense plantout? I realize that soil temps are more important than air temps, but I figured there are experienced growers who can gauge this by looking at high and low air temps.

For the record, here's a screenshot of our upcoming temps. I originally considered planting out on Sunday, but now wondering if I should wait until Wed or later, especially keeping in mind that the predicted lows can still be off a few degrees!

My responding might not be helpful as I live somewhere far from you but I wait until night temps are consistently above 10c, then I move into a well sheltered area to prevent wind chill. I would have assumed consistent night temp drops below 14c would cause blossom drop, like with tomatoes, but this has never happened to me.

May 15th is our plant out date on paper, today we felt that soil temps had reached the temps we wanted.
Upper 60s & rising with outside temps in the upper 70s & 80s.

There have been many years as a new grower that I went by air temps & best guess plant out dates.
I did notice a big difference in tomatoes & peppers planted early & late.

We must remember that peppers are tropical & like me they just don't do that well in cold or cooler weather.
I like it between 75F & 80F & they do too. 😉
