Thank You
Thank you for the advice, I'll go and take a peek.Hey @Slowburn , welcome to the forum and to the hobby! Since you're in Oregon, and your seedling just sprouted, maybe you could visit a local nursery and pick up one or two other hot pepper types that will fruit a little earlier for you this year. Not that your seedling won't, but some of the nursery stuff will be about 8 weeks ahead of the new sprouts. Just something to consider if you want to harvest over a longer period of time!
Hoping to find some plants or seeds for super hots at some point for planting in Feb/MarThank you for the advice, I'll go and take a peek.
I am new to peppers and growing. This is my first season
You may be new but you already have that Hunt Find & grow feeling. You will fit right in here.Hoping to find some plants or seeds for super hots at some point for planting in Feb/Mar

I agree with @growyourown , you'll likely find a cool diversity of types available to you. Not sure if it's like this in the PNW, but here in NJ, we tend to find a little more diversity of types at smaller, mom-and-pop type nurseries vs. big box stores, but it's definitely worth driving around to both and seeing what's out there. Keep us posted!

it's becoming a rarity these days, but placing a phone call is likely a good first step, to find out a) if they even have hot peppers and b) what sort of varieties, so that you don't wind up making a big trip pointlessly.
as the old saying used to go: "let your fingers do the walking"
Sooooo, Nursery haul nabbed me some Jalapenos (Mammoth), Cayenne, Jimmy Nartello, Shishito, Cayanetta, Chiltepin, and Bulgarian Carrot (No idea), they had a red ghost on it's last legs so I left it there. Also had some seeds arrive from Ebay today so I have Black Pearl, 7 pot duglah, Death Spiral Mustard and a pepper sold as Pepper X which are in damp paper towels hoping to germinate. Also update: 8 of 12 Cherry Bomb seeds have made it to the Cotyledon stage and are just pokiing through the soilif you still want to grow some supers this year, you'll most likely be able to find ghost, scorpion, and/or reaper seedlings at some local nurseries/greenhouses, as the hot pepper "craze" has created such a demand for superhot types that they know they can sell them.
and of course there will also be your typical habaneros, cayennes, tabasco, etc in the non-super sector to choose from as well.
happy hunting
Yeah it's a worry but it's already done so if they ARE Bell peppers then I will just eat more Bells and go somewhere else next season I have a very small order from Texas Hot Peppers for some Morugas, Chocolate Hydras and something called a Naglah Beast CaramelThat's a nice haul, slowburn! I'm growing Bulgarian Carrot this season and it's a monster! Don't know about the eBay seeds though; hopefully you don't have seeds for a bunch of bell peppers!
