glog Hey Y'all, the Stettoman is Still Hangin'!

Wow, it's been a minute, eyuh?

Since moving to Colorado Springs in 2021 I've been pretty busy failing at growing my pepper bliss. Oh, stuff will grow, but my Serranos are stunted and not prolific. Colorado is supposed to be great for peppers, but been a bust for me.

Except for one stubborn Arequipeño that, without any assistance from me, is entering it's FOURTH season. And IS prolific. Dunno why, but I let it.

And yes, I planted Serranos and this year.
When I get a chance, I'll try to catch up with y'all I used to kibbutz with.

Oh, and we're moving again, this time to east-central Texas...

Hokey smokes, Bullwinkle! We got invited to some friends house yesterday afternoon for adult beverages and walked into a surprise going away party 🥳

Apparently one jar of "the jelly" had been passed around last week and now half of CO Springs want to be customers. I'm gonna have to get busy!

I just hope Texas has a decent population of folks like these!

Man I haven't heard a Bullwinkle reference in a long while! Hope you find many good people in TX.
I'm originally from Frostbite 🥶 Falls, so the references are genuine!

I'm hoping to find pepper people down there too. Wouldn't mind looking up Devv down in Devine, I always thought he and I had a good rapore...

Damn.

Damn damn.

I powerwashed the deck today. Furniture and plants all on the ground below. Round tabletop got caught in a stiff breeze and landed on my fabric bags hosting my Serrano plants. We're in the throes of a chaotic move, so I shed a half a tear...then kept moving on. I'd say it broke my heart but I just stuck to the mission.

A sign of maturity? NAW, I'll take those plants to Texas and make them perform anyway.

Maybe a pic tomorrow, but this is zero hour.

Feels, man. I want Feels...

😇

New to Texas, I have a question: The heat is on and I'm wondering if my LO Thais can take full sun down here. Zone 9 is mighty intense. I transplanted last night...

For now I have them under the porch roof where they start getting full shade at just after noon.

Am I doomed to shade cloth?

I don't know much about growing peppers in Texas, but I'm glad to see you're settling in! Hopefully you and they both will like the weather.

BTW, I just planted some of my old LOT seeds and I'm hoping to grow one indoors if they still germinate. Given your gemination results, I was cautious and didn't plant very many ;)
