Jerky is awesome, I've made a few batches. How are you drying it? I use my smoker. The last batch took me 13 hours! I was sitting outside with it until 5 in the morning.....hahahaha. Be smarter than me...lol (My smoker is gas and it likes to blow out sometimes. So I have to baby sit it...what a PITA. Good luck! I will be making another batch soon.

i have a nesco dehydrator that i will be using. this is the test batch, if it turns out good the next batch will be bigger and i will smoke some of it to get a feel for what we like! the powder i made today came out super good! i smoked 10 pods and all together used like 30 pods so it has a subtle smoky flavor that lingers

mmmmm...sounds awesome. I love the smoker...it is my best friend. Good luck with the Jerk.

about to put the marinated meat into the dehydrator! so hopefully tonight will be testing it out

i w2ill forget some of the pods but off the top of my head, douglah, choc scorp, brown 7, yellow 7, fatalii, datil, scorp red, brain strain(10 were smoked), naga morich, red bhut, bhut carbon, bahamian goat, i think thats it. LOL HOT and tasty
