  • Ghetto hydro picked up while shopping in Vegas yesterday. But bulbs and fert won't be here till the 7th.

    What kind of ferts you going with? I am thinking of maybe a dwc or 2 using some x-nutes i have.

    Tried the Fisch industries first---SUX.
    Used the stock aerogarden brand next @ $29 a qt. Leaves almost as big as my hand in a couple weeks. Going with a 51 qt "Sterlite" container from wally world. Transferring from the aerogarden to that and starting another batch.
    Cut up an assortment. Tasted some fresh of each type. Check. Put most in the dehydrator after cutting in 1/2. Check. Ground up each type seperatly . Check. Put each type into it's own spice bottle. Check. Take into account mother natures proclivity to gust wind through an open window just when you have a good sized pile of powder in front of your face. FAIL.

    Yeah, first time I made powder I had no respirator, and pepper powdered myself it sucked, now it stays on till its all in bags or jars

    I no longer fear pepper spray.
    Made a bunch of powders recently---no prob. Have a spot next to a window with a fan blowing out the whole time just for this reason. Just one wild @$$ gust at exactly the wrong time.
    Cut up a whole superhot--not sure which type--and put on 1/4 of a large pizza. Ate the whole 1/4. taste was EXACTLY the same as the little peppers pizza joints give in packets or shakers, but 100 times hotter.Paying for my indescretion this morning.
    Got my Primo seeds today----now just awaing the Reapers.

    May give them a "helping hand", but this current batch will be grown too close, and have flowers, before I can isolate them with any degree of certainty that no contamination will occur. Next batch will be at least "hillbilly isolated" and I'll do some pure and some cross.

    i ordered the OG primo seeds today from Primo himself so well shall see about this mystery. I have to hand pollinate since i grow in my attic.
    Palate training. 1/4 tsp in a bottle of water. Brain strain yesterday, Butch T today.

    Go slow.hehehe. I have a bunch of mixed powders, but trying single source for now to distinguish taste. A wimpy way of munching pods I guess, but I still have to make it to work without being all tore up.

    Must be like wine. Red for beef, white for fowl.Etc. All out of yellows, and about out of salmon, so this just goes in my notebook for next time.
    Cut up 1/2 a Butch T. Microwaved for 1 minute. Going into salmon cakes for dinner. Hint: Have your microwave near an open window with a fan blowing out when doing peppers.

    As mine travel thru Vegas, I try to get them processed as soon as they arrive. Got a couple small green scorps. Really nice taste and fast bite/fade

    Thai "Dragon"? Hmmmm. Nice long pods, but can't tell exactly what they are till ripe.

    I'm glad you're calling it virgin salmon salad rather than post spawn salmon salad. After spawning they are like the swimming dead.

    4pod paste used last night on some chicken. Nice burn, no stomache cramps. But 5 am after @ work for an hour, it entered the large intestine. An hour of sweat, cramps and endorphine rushes. Good thing no one saw me for a couple hrs. or I prolly would have had to go for a UA
    Just sampled my "Mixed Box O' Peppers" From Bakers.Holy Frijole, some very excellent ones Extracted seeds from some and sampled a slice from each type,made some paste for laterz..
    Just tilled next years pepper spot. Lots of organics, chicken droppings and horse pucks(all aged a year or more) Give the worms and bugs all fall and winter, as well as early spring to ferment.Sandy/pea gravel base and the drainage test is very good.1 section gets 6-8 hours full sun for the tepins and cayennes,2nd spot gets8 to 10 hrs full sun for the supers.
    FLOWERS. Supposed to be "Thai Dragon", but from my early seed hunting adventures, so not sure exactly what it is.
