The Mayans have a circular calendar - it never actually ends, but simply returns to the beginning. Very different from what the hypers want us to believe. It is much like our own calendars, though they are linear - when your 2012 calendar ends you just go buy a new 2013 calendar, you don't think the world is ending. Why the hypers would interpret the Mayan calendar differently only boils down to money, like at least half of everything else.
