1st, Sicman just destroyed you with logic. Mark your calendar because that's the most sense I've seen him make at THP since well, probably ever. haha
That said I've done this with chili - it was with Red Savina powder, and fresh habs. The chili was so freakin hot it peeled paint. I took 2 bites and realized I'd destroyed it.
And like you, it totally did not occur to me that I could just make more chili and balance it out. Doh!
