he's in Washington..... boiled peanuts must be a southern thing. Boil them just like you do crawfish, seasoning and all.... except it takes about 8 hours for them to get tender.

I would love the shit out of them I know it. I have seen them do it on TV but, it just seems so odd because everything here is roasted or maybe raw.

They are sold everywhere here. Find them at flea markets, gas stations, the side of the road, etc.

Understood, Scovie. I only started boiling them last year because my fiancee wanted some. I had never really tried them before that for the same reasons you say.... just seemed odd to me. A wet peanut shell was weird sounding. Then I ate one.... and another, and another and another.... I could make a meal out of them! lol. Same here PD... they all have boiled peanuts to sell.
