You'd think that people would learn to live with a bit of risk in their lives. Nope! Instead we poison ourselves (and our entire society) with a never ending succession of 'preventative measures' that invariably do more harm than the original threat ever could. Doh!

I quit using that stuff a long time ago. I use just plain old Ivory bar soap.

Anybody still use tartar control toothpaste?

Yeah, most studies, even early ones, found that plain ol' soap and water work just as well most of the time. I never looked for antibacterial-labeled products, knowing they're more hype than effective, but it's hard to avoid them these days. One of the blue Dawn versions doesn't contain it.

On toothpaste just the old style Crest paste, no gel or fufu crap. Couple times a week I'll brush with baking soda too. All the tartar control I need.

Yeah I haven't used any in years unless theres no other option. They just make the bugs stronger, duh
