Oooh, I hate that! I usually under season with salt when I cook because you can always add salt after the fact if needed. You have got me seriously hankerin' for a big ole plate o' beans. Tomorrow I am going to have to make a batch. My dad did very little cooking, but boy ole boy, he could throw down on a pot o' beans. I really hope he wrote his recipe written down somewhere before he passed.
I used the mixed beans with its little flavor packet, two met onions ,five garlic cloves, two cans of diced tomatoes with chilis, and a teaspoon off smoked superhot powder, salt, two smoked hocks. Slow on low overnight in crockpot. Yum!
