There is some Yucatan hot sauces that use the inner tender part to add richness and flavor. One of my fav sauces Yucatan Sunset does this.

No, But I have been told by a old Mexican to stop taking the seeds out of my goatweeds when I toast them to rehydrate for sauce. He said the toasted seeds add a lot of flavor

not sure what the others are saying. if you buy the seeds split them and spit them. if you process your own, boil the seeds, bake them and eat the entire seed. of course spice them up! and the hog guy.. i think that is booze cause nothing is making sense!
