With garlic and onions growing season is year round here.

Good point. My dad has been growing garlic the past few years. I love it. I just head over to his house and grab a couple of bulbs. So much better than the store bought stuff. I may have to plant some as well.

I grow Russian, Chinese, and common white garlic. Egyptian walking, Spanish yellow, and common red onions. Seed savers exchange is a good source. The Egyptian walking onion might be hard to find.

Some hardneck garlics have the best flavors -- i miss growing my own.
