I've always just started mine in Miracle-Gro Seedling Starter mix. Then transplanted into Pro-Mix or Fox Farm (when I could afford Fox Farm).

I used Black Gold seed starter this year and thought it was excellent. And a lot cheaper than FF Light Warrior.

Jiffy seed starting mix has worked well for me.

Mine go to local stuff is just PH adjusted peat, vermiculite and "20 days seedling nutrient"
