Depends on your needs I guess. I would never buy a truck that wasn't full size and 4wd. Worthless to me.

I hear ya. I'm looking at mid size for fuel economy. 120 mile a day commute. 4WD is preferred, but not a must have. BUT, a crew cab and long bed are must haves!

And I want a mid size. F150 is nice, just more truck than I need.

Silverado is not mid size.

I know, I know.... I was just including it because I can get one for a similar price. I've pretty much ruled it out for fuel efficiency.

How about a nice mid size SUV and a utility trailer you can hook up when needed?

A crew cab long bed is not only somewhat rare, but can be a pain to park.

I am waiting for the 2016 Tacoma and with be getting the TRD Pro dbl cab

Not exactly inexpensive, but with 120 mile commute a diesel might be in your future for longevity. My F250 is at about 90K miles and is just getting broke in.

Plus, there is the added bonus of saying " I drive a super duty. What is that little thing? A Tacoma?" LOL.

Out of the three you listed I would buy the Tacoma.

Phil, stop fucting around and find a kickass restored S10 pickup. Ya don't need more and the gas mileage is great.

So I went with the 2015 Colorado LT package short bed and crew cab with 18" wheels. MUCH bigger than I anticipated for a "mid size". Got OnStar, XM and all those bells and whistles. Locking differential. Plus I got a Dow employee discount, which means they had to sell it to me below invoice price. Got it for $29K before TTL, and I did spring for the extended warranty considering my commute. The truck is gorgeous.

I figured if I needed a long bed, I'll just hook up a trailer... got the tow package with it. BTW, Iwouldn't have bought anything if my son hadn't totaled his car. Went head on with a truck, so now he needs a new one. I'll be selling him my Corolla.

Smoke, I used to have an old S10... loved that truck. 1983 model. True story.
