Yeah, me too. Any kind of cutting tool gets me all hot and bothered. I'm making a homemade router table w/ a homemade lift. I plan to use that for jointing for now. $1400 blades... That's a bit out of my budget. Maybe some day... My planer w/ an extra set of blades didn't cost half that.

yea the 1400 dollar blade is like the far extreem end. a blade for a 12" commercial jointer with MANY carbide teeth. just looks so cool though.
the same company sells a dewalt planer drop in replacement for like 3-400 bucks. blades for the grizzly stuff is a bit more, but in the same ballpark.
