I bought my last DeFault tool in 1998. DeWalt sucks. Especially as a company. I had warranty issues on a tool that was 5 hours old. Long story. I agree with QQ, Some job sites I roll up on, ALL the tools are yellow. :puke:
Get a big one. 10" or better. I have an old Delta 8" compound miter saw that does okay, but anything bigger than 1.5" angle iron gives it fits... and I just broke the aluminum fence on it... which is no longer available as a replacement part...
Thanks for the tip, Phil! And yeah.... when it comes to power tools, bigger is almost always better. And ouch on breaking the fence. It hurts when there are no replacement parts to get.
Then again, my dad sliced his forearm wide open with my brother's 12" chop saw... never disable a safety device! BTW, I think it's cool as hell that you are digging power tools. Most chicks are afraid to touch 'em!
