Hybrid, I cut out almost all sugar years back, and for the most part I stay away from it, but every once and a while I will drink sweet iced tea, but I don't use as much sugar as most, and often just use honey.
Alchmystic, I drink it sometimes, but I changed to its cousin, Guayausa. Its not bitter like Yerba Mate, and is instead sweet. It can be a good coffee replacement.
That one does sound good. Can you get multiple brews? I like how some oolongs give you a second cup that is just as good as the first, and then a pretty good 3rd cup as well.
I use it twice ... never want tea for a 3rd, but it would probably provide enough for a lighter iced cup with sugar to offset the bitterness of being over extracted.
I have tons of loose leaf teas, but my go-to right now would be considered an herbal tea - plain hibiscus petals (aka jamaica flower), steeped in warm (not hot) water. Sometimes chilled. I don't care for most edible flowers, but this is the bomb. A great summer drink. I now order it online by the pound, usually in a 2-pound bag.
Some of my favorite herbals to drink are skullcap, stinging nettles, oatstraw and horsetail. Great all around teas for general health. I usually just use them when I crave them, and drink them until I no longer want them. For the most part I stick with oolongs and green teas.
Chiltepin, you drink Tejava? This is my favorite black tea one can get in a bottle. The flavor is unique. I also drink it sugar free. Once in a while I heat it up and add some cream, but for the most part I drink it cold plain and unsweetened. I believe it won first place in a large tea competition 3 years in a row.
