Yes very. I was going to have to bring our back hoe or mini excavator in to try and push them away from the pole while I cut them. A true "Hold my beer, and watch this!" moment lol

Around here they do it all the time. They show up with a man-lift and a wood chipper. They would probably give you the wood chips for mulch if you want it.

actually part of the deal is they don't take away the wood. Fortunately we have a chipper. So I will definitely make use of it. However, the trees are dead and have been since we moved in 2 years ago. Might not need to grind much lol.

We live off of the main road and the power pole is actually on our property instead of on an easement of some sort. That why I was surprised they would cut the trees down for us.

The power company is responsible for their poles/lines no mater where they are. We have 7 poles that go thru our property and they maintain them annually. Every three years they come through and drill a hole just below grade, and pour some anti-rot chemical in it.

I think one of them is an ash tree. They're in pretty rough shape, and don't have leaves lol so its hard to tell.

That's pretty cool how they take care of your stuff. They probably do here too. I've always lived in a subdivision with underground utilities, so its new for me.
