Scovie's right. England was fine before the EU, they'll be fine after. The funny thing about these goofy socio-economic experimental unions.... they need a rich host country to suck dry. Without the host, the parasite dies. Now cast your eyes to our hemisphere and see what's happening here.... we're becoming the host.
True. The three biggest countries have been doing the work while little countries like Greece have been nursing off of those teats. Once Germany and/or France bails, the EU will only exist in the history books. Within a year, maybe two.
it tends to get worse the smaller the government is, as there is less oversight and fewer redundant positions where theft and embezzlement and bribery can be detected. audits are less frequent, and its more likely for government officials to know each other and collude to rig bids, over charge etc.
There are a lot of folks who have never heard about it. It's the ultimate "Why we need the 2nd amendment" story. It's a very important piece of American history that they'd rather not talk about.
