Mmm. Most awesomely flavored cherries I’ve had are Michigan black cherries I devoured when young. Legendary! Nothing worse than cherries w/ no actual cherry flavor! (in my experience, sadly- that’s often the case. Same w/ blackberries- unless sickly sweet w/ fragrance, they’re usually tasteless) I did just pick up a lb. of red cherries that taste ‘mediocre.’ Happy fermenting, Pariah!
