Did you get it handled stettoman?

Aye, I did, and am now checking ebay listings for a replacement tookus. I froze my main tookus off and it's buried in a drift. My spare tookusses are all the thin, sporty summer models.

What I should do is shop plow blades, but it's WAY the wrong season to buy them...

I ALWAYS get the extended warranty on tookuses. They're just too expensive and go out too often. Well worth the $13/year.
If you have a riding mower, look into a snowblower attachment. I love mine. 48" wide and I can do AL of my snow clearing with it. Driveway and walkways. Just my ยข2.

Scovie, in the words of Mr. Spock (in the goatee episode): "Captain Kirk, I shall consider it...."

Seriously, it's a great idea, if the old Cub was 10 years newer I'd be on that like the shiny on a billygoats hiney....

I don't envy you guys dealing with snow. Do you guys find that with using the mowers for snow, that the spindles and moving parts go bad quickly?

No not at all. Mowing is much harder on my mower than snow blowing. I bought a 48" blade first off and pushing snow was extremely hard on the mower. Then I bought the snowblower and it's smooth as silk. Plus it throws the snow about 50-75 feet, so it's GONE. No piles left to melt next to the driveway in the Spring.

Also, it takes a 1-2 season rool and turns it in to a 4 season tool. Instead of just sitting there all winter. I can use it for mowing in the Spring/Summer, picking up leaves in the Fall and snow removal all winter. Guys around here want $50 per plow which can get costly after 5-10 snowfalls every season!
