Today is one of those days that I am so glad I made the changes I made in my life. I can sit back and relax on a day off, spend what I want, do what I want, and truly feel satisfied.

Man it feels like I haven't been here in forever. I check in while I am at work, but it is a real pita to post with my phone. Got a day off today then its back to nights.
Nothing like the night shift 9:30 in the morning just drink until you can sleep well after working twelve hours drunk
Just had my 30 day review at work, I passed with flying colors, got signed off on my job, and can apply for the next step up. Things are good. I miss spending more time here, but 12hrs doesn't leave me a lot of time on work days. Luckily, I have seven days off now and am heading to "my buddy's camp" season four for my birthday again.
Happy Father's Day everyone. I am spending mine cooking for me and the boys. Pancakes and bacon for them for breakfast, wings and now pizza for lunch. Good times.
One more night of night shift and I am off for three days. Good news is: after 10 tonight I will be on overtime X.5 until morning!
First two weeks down, back to work Tuesday on night shift.
Tomorrow is the big day. Wish me luck.

Looks like the wait is finally over. In the past couple weeks I passed my physical abilities test, stress test, and now today hearing, eye, drug, and chest x-ray's. June 1 start date.
I am still hungry. I am about to pimp the TGI Friday's wings I have in my freezer. Don't judge me.
Finally got the call I have been waiting for. Career change officially begins June 1.
Just set my smoker on fire. I used my chimney starter like always, dumped that in and added more, then wood chips on top, put the pork butt in and retreated to the house. Half hour later my son says Dad I think it is on fire, sure enough the catch bowl had a grease fire. Needless to say, the pork but it a bit charred, but I think I caught it soon enough that it can be salvaged. Good thing I didn't have the wings on yet.
Tomorrow... Curry wings happen. Boom.
Holy crap, I am now #2 in all-time posts on THP. What a fun spicy ride it has been.

Damn near a foot of snow. Dear Winter, you suck, enough already.
