Was just told that the weather was supposed to be pretty crappy this weekend, rain and a freeze warning for sunday. Checked the extended forecast and they are saying rain on saturday, low of 40 on sunday and 41 on monday. Doesnt look like I will be planting out this weekend.

I seen a pepper on THP somewhere a few weeks ago. It was an elongated pepper that was purple and white. Dont remember the name but it is one that I have been trying to find again to get the name of it. I think that one would be pretty cool to grow, just to see it. LOL

Not sure if you even need to dry them out. I took a bell pepper straight from store to cutting board. Took 4 seeds out of the pepper and put them in some potting soil. Less than a week later I had 4 sprouts. Good luck with the soil and compost. Started a small compost pile out back this year...

Still have plenty of leaves below where I topped it at. I only removed the very newest growth(leaves) that had come up. I left maybe an 1/16 of an inch from where I topped it and the next set of leaves. Both plants have at a min, 6 sets of true leaves on them at the moment.
