fermenting Turning Hot Sauce into Wine

hey folks! So a couple of my pepper ferment batches did something kinda weird, it's started to smell like a brewery in these two jars. These two batches are mostly Sugar Rush Peach Stripe so I'm thinking the brine wasn't strong enough to slow the fermentation down given the high sugar content...

contest Ají Charapita Growdown Throwdown 2024

I've grown Bell peppers a bunch of times in cloth grow bags like I do my other pepper plants, they actually don't get that big. This year my Sugar Rush Peach Striped towered over them.

contest Ají Charapita Growdown Throwdown 2024

Here are some of the Charapita I've harvested so far. Many went into salads and on nachos, things like that, I'm I've given some away. Mostly I just dry them in my dehydrator and they can go to make pepper flakes as I need them later. My Peruvian Cerezo has also been yielding a nice harvest. The...

    pod Lemon Drop color change?

I grow a lot of Aji Lemon Drop as well and I get this on my pods also. Pretty sure it's just a harmless "sunburn" - same thing happens with my KS White Thai, but in that case it's purple colouring, not dark like OP's pic.

    news Warthog

I was gonna send away for seeds from Matthew Arthur, but being in Canada, I foresee there being problems with shipping. So this Fall I will be working on a little pepper cross project of my own, I can tell you it will include 7 Pot Primo and 2 other superhots. :)

    chinense Primotalii Thread

Hello! Who else is growing Primotalii this season? I did them last year and was so impressed I decided to do 4 plants this season. Whitehotpeppers is a great one, I have never been disappointed with any of his stuff, also https://texashotpeppers.net/en-ca has a huge variety (including KS Lemon Starrburst - where I got mine) and they are true to the KS pheno he shows in his videos. Hello I Grow Hot Peppers in South Ottawa Canada

I can't stop growing hot peppers. I have a little back yard but still make hot sauce every year, try new exotic peppers and always save the seeds. I like heat but I can't eat a whole scorpion pepper - yet!
