A friend of mine went to Calcutta earlier this year. She brought me some dried peppers from a market there. I took some seeds and grew them..and I have seeds from the original pods she brought me. p.m. me and I'll send you some seeds.

I have a dehydrater that i bought for $30.00. I cut the thick-walled peppers in half when I dry them. Some of them I smoke on the grill, also cut in half, for a few hours before throwing them in the dehydrater.

I usually soak mine. However this year I soaked 7 pot chaguanas and they came up in about 7 days. I didn't soak 7 pot jonah and they came up in about........7 days. I also had habs come up in 5 days and 21 days.....both soaked and both planted the same day. I don't think I'll bother soaking again.

I have a pack of capsicum praetermissum (pi 1441654) and a pack of capsicum frutescence (cgn 22792pi260478) if you want them.

They came up in about 6 days. I had my bhut's pop up in 6-10 days last year but I always expect the supers to be up last. Just thought it was odd that the jalapenos and none of the others came up yet. The last few years the jalapenos seem to come up randomly with the others.

Over the last 3 days I've had 35 seeds germinate. I have put 3-4 seeds in each cell and I'll cut down the weakest ones. I don't have much money in this. I can hold 100 4'' pots when I add the other lights on a lower shelf. That's a heater/fan with a thermostat at the bottom..currently holding 83*.
