    What devil is this?

Almost definite it's some sort of Naga, if I had to pick I'd say Naga Viper. They are properly hot. I grew some a few years ago: Your pods look more regular, which would take Naga Morich out of the running.

This is suppose to be a Carolina Reaper ?!?!

The picture you posted needs better focus on the pod itself.  From what I see the pod looks pretty smooth, with possibly some lobes near the bottom but no tail and irregular ripening across the surface.  Habanero is the first thing that comes to mind.  That said, the leaves do look C...

trinidad moruga scorpion, But jolokia or something else?

Could be a short red bhut, when I grew them the pods tended to be a little bit longer.  The shorter pod leans more towards a naga.  The leaves on your plant are VERY Scorpion-like, so possibly a scorpion-naga cross of some kind.  Chances are they are still quite hot.  It's also worth stating...

Yellow Devil's Tongue from Pepper Lover

My yellow devil's tongue from a couple of years ago was yellow-orange, with a medium wall, lots of bumps and a pretty intense burn. I think you got exactly what it says on the tin.

    Shishito?

Other than the size differential, they both look like shishitos to me.

An update for post Labor Day on the current state of things in the "garden".   Everything has been potted up to 7 gallon fabric pots which now reside on the porch.  They receive indirect sun most of the day except for mid-afternoon when they get about 3 hours of direct sun.  They seem happy...

Fresh Pods in Central Florida? Farms? Farmers Markets?

You could try the Winter Park farmer's market on Saturday mornings.  There are usually 4-6 different vegetable vendors there and I've seen at hot as Datils and Red Savinas, but nothing I would classify as a superhot.  Your best option for choice and variety may be SFRB options from the vendors...

Would You Like to Play a Game? Help Me Pick Some(5) Peppers

It's simply too hot and humid for them in Florida, most of the common varieties come from places with more temperate weather. Other growers have little difficulty growing rocotos, and there are a number of threads on this forum that reflect that. The flip side of the coin is that here in...

Would You Like to Play a Game? Help Me Pick Some(5) Peppers

I haven't had fresh Bishop's Crowns now for a couple of years so I am looking forward to possibly having them again.  When I grew them before they where almost vinelike in their habit and ended up being over 6 feet tall, staked up.  My best plants were located under my east-side porch eves...

Would You Like to Play a Game? Help Me Pick Some(5) Peppers

I'm pretty sure the Guajillo is going to make the list, simply due to it being so versatile.   Per my past experience with Trinidad Moruga Scorpions, one plant is more than enough:   This was  a single plant, over 4' across and it just got bigger over the season, producing hundreds of pods.    ...

    favorite Favorite fresh-eating pepper?

The Brazilian Starfish that I grew a few years ago were about 2" in diameter and maybe 1" deep. I could use a paring knife to remove the core, and thereby the seeds and most of the placenta, leaving room for a bite sized dab of cream cheese. The cream cheese would smooth over what heat was...

    favorite Favorite fresh-eating pepper?

Bishop's Crowns are my hands down winner. My runner up would be the Brazilian Starfish, core removed with a dab of cream cheese and a sprinkle of kosher salt.

Would You Like to Play a Game? Help Me Pick Some(5) Peppers

That's what I have read as well, but I've also seen at least a few people who have had success with the correct combination of variety, conditions and luck. I could possibly grow indoors under a filtered skylight, which would provide a more regulated temperature and indirect light.

Would You Like to Play a Game? Help Me Pick Some(5) Peppers

I've been informed that additions to my pepper collection for 2019 are going to be limited to 5 new choices. As such, I've been trolling through various seed catalogs to try and find the best choices for my growing situation and culinary preference.  Those are as follows:   Growing Environment...

Just a few quick pictures to document progress.   The Farmer's Jalapeno is actually quite fuzzy.  My plant has been putting on tons of flowers... and dropping most of them.  It's strange  because right next to it the Aleppo has set a few pods.   First pods of the season setting on the larger...

tutorial All about soil - A great resource I thought I would share

My thinking was that these are fabric bags, the entire surface will be exposed so evaporation will be a concern.  The coir, perlite and greensand are measures against compaction and will end up being about 50% of the volume for each fabric pot.
