Well I now have 3 lanceolatums that are all doing fine now at first I thought I might loose the weakest one as it had some damage at the soil level on the stem so I added a bet more soil around it and that seems to have helped it recover as there is now new leaves and growth the biggest one if...

What are y'alls thoughts on what this pepper is?

I would say that the plants come from F2 early reaper varieties as the first batch of reapers had all kinds of shapes show up I got some off pheno type reapers that looked more like Naga compared to the later reapers that are being sold the ones I'm growing this year come from last years...

    Help me Id these :)

I would take a look at what Judy at pepperlovers.com has for sale, she is one of the best vendors here. I can't say just what it may be as it could be a cross of anything most likely a baccatum of some sort.

    NEW PEPPER?

Hi Wilds, those are some very interesting peppers, I really like the first one, but they are all very nice. I couldn't say just what they are, but they are some kind of ornamental hybrids so unless the seeds are F1 they will not look the same the second time they are grown. I would keep the...

The pods look pretty close to the description of what they should be, hopefully they are true cardenasii, it would be great if they were.

    C. anuum or C. frutescens

It might be a long Piri Piri pepper that is grown locally and sold at your markets, but they look a little to big which could be because it is cultivated, you might ask the manager at the market where you got them.

    Pepper ID please

I can pretty much say its a C. annuum by the pod set, shape and thick flesh, Its quite possible that its a cherry pepper crossed with a purple variety. I don't trust buying any kind of seeds from ebay as you can never tell what you might end up with.

Hi Chiltepin, Yes I do attribute my success or luck as it maybe to the gibberellic acid. The seeds came from Italy and even been rolled through the mail machine so I really didn't have much hope for them, the last time I tried to grow them and some others, I just soaked them in diluted peroxide...

Thanks for the info on 17020 and the usage rate for the Gib. acid. I knew about adding the alcohol to it to dissolve the powder but was sure if I had the PPM right as it turned out I was at 40PPM So I was pretty much on the money. All the seeds I soaked in the solution are all plump and pretty I...

chinense Has anyone eaten a Ghost pepper (or equivilant) at once?

Back in 2007/2008 when the Ghost was being shared around I got some seeds from my friend Chris, (cmpman1972) and grew them out for the first time and popped a whole one in my mouth, I thought I would loose my mojo, as my mouth just kept burning. Since then I've eaten Butch T's, Brain Strains...

    Princess Faten

I have not heard of them before, so they may be a new offer, I'm surprised that Judy didn't have more info about them. There is about a million varieties of C. Annuum var.??? and some new ones are being discovered coming from the Mid East region.
