    Dehydrated stock growing

I've been drying my peppers courtesy of Ronco (food dehydrator - picked the seeds I'm gonna keep before drying via machine) and they smell so good when dehydrated. I put some in my meal the other night. Wowza that's HOT. :hell:

    Last few days take

In this pic are trinidad scorpions, bhut jolokia, bhut/hab hybrids, and yellow n orange (red?) habs, as well as some long skinny hot pepper that I have no idea what they are. These came in the last few days. I already dehydrated and gave away a bunch. More green & partially ripened are out...

Ghost peppers - dimpled or not

Here is one of my large shiny hybrids next to a ghost pepper from the potted bhut jolokia parent plant. I tried them both and couldn't really tell if one was hotter than the other, and they were about as hot as a trinidad scorpion I grew. Is that about right? The difference is that the hybrid...

Lots of peppers who knows what they are

Okay here we go. I put them next to a regular 12oz beer. :) I have large hands, about 8.25" wrists... Ghost hab hybrids are large too who can resist more beer? various of these habanero and habbish pods together - the yellow is about the size of a regular supermarket habanero, maybe...

Lots of peppers who knows what they are

These are the average size of my ghost/hob crosses next to average sized spice container. Here are those bulbous ones next to the ghost habs. So until I can go home and pic them next to something universally known, that's all I got. ;-)

Lots of peppers who knows what they are

Well, plenty of ghost peppers coming in, as well as what must be a ghost/habanero hybrid... But I have these round habbish looking ones that are HUGE. They are almost tomato sized - like the palm of my hand. Haven't tasted them yet. The ghost/hab hybrids are hot - about as hot as a trinidad I...

Peppers falling partially ripe with yellow stems

No fertilizer, but my stay at home girlfriend who tends the garden might be watering the pots too much. I'll tell her to not water them for a few days. THanks. (oh and welcome to the forum)

Peppers falling partially ripe with yellow stems

Help!! Why would ghost peppers in a potted ghost plant kep outside and full of green pods (but with lighter green leaves) be dropping a partially ripe pod with a yellowed stem? Can I fix that? So far only one on the plant did this but I don't wanna wait till it happens to the rest. Thanks.

Ghost peppers - dimpled or not

It would be cool if there was a place you can easily and cheaply have their scoville tested. Imagine if they were hotter than the originals? I mean, what if I take a sliver and they are like lava?

Ghost peppers - dimpled or not

Thanks. I still have the original parent plants and their (albeit smaller and still green) pods are all dimpled as expected. I gave the two ripe ones away, one to my boss the other to my landlord. When more ripen (those plants are holding tons of them) I will get my nerve up.

Ghost peppers - dimpled or not

I found this image online - maybe mine aren't hybrid because not every ghost pepper I have seen is all dimpled up... http://c3.yousaytoo.com/rss_temp_image/pics/83/93/8/5170283/original/remote_image20101211-5751-78b2r4-0.jpg
