Aerogarden pepper...but is it a Bhut?

I'm thinking it's NOT a bhut. Right before I read your post, I was outside looking at plants I KNOW are Bhut Jolokia. the leaves are indeed skinnier. In fact, I don't have anything in my pots outside that looks like this. Anyway, it just got too damned big for the aerogarden. It was casting a...

Help me identify these babies, please!

am I ever! I've never tried a fresh super-hot. I'm especially excited about the Fatalis. OK, time for an update. Here's some new pics of the plant we're thinking are bells. I actually think they're mini-bells. Hart to tell yet. This is the oldest pod. It's got what looks like maybe bacterial...

it's all good. I have TONS of superhots, they're just barely starting to get little buds though. No fruiting on any of the ones I really want.

I'll snap some more pics tonight. I was so shocked that, as you can see, I have a few more seedlings of unknown origin that went in recently.

Aerogarden pepper...but is it a Bhut?

This came from a friend who truly grew Bhuts last year. He gave me some seeds. Well, the big plant you see here in my aerogarden is only about 6 weeks old. The leaves are HUGE. The hood is at the lowest setting, and it's just squat as hell! Tell me what you guys think this could be:

the whole plant: And some of the peppers: This is one of the ones I had moved up onto the porch because it was nearly bare a month ago. I didn't think it would make it. Now, it's got a whole bunch of flowers and several peppers. I'm thinking Habanero of some sort? Wish I knew.

Talk to me about your potting mix

I sure didn't! Hmm, good to know. Mine was hydrofarm and came in a compressed cube. So, I had to soak it in water to expand it, but other than that I didn't rinse it. Good to know for next time.

Talk to me about your potting mix

Thanks for the input so far. Not sure how I missed the pinned post, but as was mentioned, that thread is a bit overwhelming! For example. I always see "COMPOST" listed as an ingredient. What type of compost? I see so many different kinds at the Nursery (cotton burr, mushroom, etc.)

Talk to me about your potting mix

I've been transplanting into a 5-1-1 mix of "pine fines" (partially composted pine bark), coir or peat, and pearlite, respectively. I mix in a handful of dolomitic lime powder and a handful of Fox Farms fertilizer meant for vegetative growth. I water that mix thoroughly for several days before...

    Hello from Oklahoma!

You've got it right. My wife is wondering what has gotten into me, and all my neighbors are curious of the strange glow coming from my guest bedroom until recently. I actually brought my police officer neighbor in to see it, because I could tell he was wondering what the hell was going on in...
