Hello all   I am based in Johannesburg, South Africa and would like to grow different varieties of real Hungarian Paprika. Locally we get Paprika seeds but it seems to be generic. The packet even indicates that varieties may differ from what is shown on the photo on the front of the seed packet...

Summer is approaching - will be going into the ground soon

   

I am keeping it indoors inside a north facing window. It gets sun for probably 50% of the day. It is currently winter here so the sun is not very warm. It is indoors to keep it away from frost. Not that cold here (lowest I have had is -2) but frost is a problem.   mmm, I will move it a bit back...

Exactly, only one i five germinated but it is turning into a beautiful plant. Now I will have fresh seeds :-)    

Yip, it is stretching now.

Hi Joe - yeah, it was pretty exciting when it germinated. I am going to have to nurse this one as we are reaching the end of our summer. Have lamps set up already :P
