It's never too early to get started!

Had my first schneider farms SB of the season just now. No pictures this time. I picked it of the plant and ate it right away, but it looked like the red one in previous post, just yellow. What can I say... taste was lovely, very citrusy! It gave a nice glow in the mouth, nothing overwelming...

    pics Are these Goathorns?

I think the keyword is "pepper joe's" here 🤔. I have no experience myself with PJ but others will confirm that you should stay away from PJ. It's good that you found this forum. :welcome:

Wondering too but apparently they are used that way...

It's never too early to get started!

Yet another small one. This time it's a red MOA bonnet. It was still a bit orangey, no deep red, so it might not have been fully ripe yet. Pod contained one seed... Taste-wise it was very similar to the yellow ones that I tried in the past couple of days. Maybe a subtle difference but I could...

Another day, another pod... err... berry 😁 This time it's a HSH bonnet, with the usual pumpkin shape. Again it's a small pod. Gonna have to get used to that this season I'm afraid... It was reasonably hot, sweet and citrusy 🙂

It's never too early to get started!

Both pods were virtually seedless (the papa dreadie contained one seed 🙂). Both were also very sweet with a little heat. The papa dreadie was about twice as hot as the bahamian goat I think. The goat did not have a chinense taste. Papa did, but not in an unpleasant way. I liked them both! Goat...

Papa dreadie is the first plant that starts producing ripe pods. This is the second pod. Pretty small... going to leave it on the plant just a little longer just to make sure it is ripened properly...

This seasons' HSH plant is not very productive either, just like the plants I grew previously. I don't think I'll be growing it again in the future...

    P. Dreadie Memorial Group Grow 2016

The first ripe papa dreadie. All pods are about this size and it looks like they're going to stay that way, thanks to the low temperatures I guess... I ate the pod. There was heat but not a lot. Taste was very sweet. I liked it 🙂
