container Questions about Growing C. pubescens

i move my plants to raised beds outside for the summer/fall, so i can't comment on mature pot size requirements. but i will say that the pubes in particular have a sprawling growth habit like a tomato plant, and as such i have seen it suggested to grow in a hanging pot and let the branches grow...

container Questions about Growing C. pubescens

last year was my first with pubes, and i grew EPFH and Rio Hualaga. rio grew and produced better for me, i did not get any ripe EPFH. rio had excellent flavour. added rocoto giant yellow for this year as well and have had 6/8 germ fairly quickly. START NOW! as they do take ages to fruit and ripen.

update on the missing seeds: finally got an envelope in the mail this week containing the s.b. trinidad red, and malawi bird. so they got it wrong again, unless malaga bird is just a typo or that they really are synonymous with one another. this time though, the malawi bird says "C.baccatum"...

Beginner w/ First pepper garden - 2x2 tent grow - 150 watt - Coco Coir and GH Flora Nutrients

PVC pipe is what i was imagining. you could build a cube 2' x 2' x 3' with 28' of tubing plus 8 elbow joints, and use a piece of wood or plastic to go on top.

just an idea, you have 6' height in the tent, if you buy/build some kind of shelf and get a second light you can double what you put in there... at least until they get so tall that they're too close to the lights...

thanks CD. i thought so re: lights, but never hurts to ask. purira was on my grow list for last year, and i got nothing. (see last year's glog, i failed at frutescens). no germination on the first run of 6 seeds. then on the second try i had some come up (2 i think?) but they and the rest of...

the following seeds are down as of the evening of dec 30th! used my usual boring unadventurous method of soak h2o2/water 24h, plant 1/4-1/2" deep in the classic green plastic 12-cell trays with vented domes filled with standard miracle gro potting soil. didn't pull the trigger on any...

hot-sauce Scotch Bonnet hot sauce (disappointing)

GRACE brand is a good one. i liked it before i even got into growing peppers, and i've seen others suggesting it on here. and it is cheap. pre-pandemic the ~300ml bottle (don't remember exact size) was only around $2 canadian. not sure what it might cost now, but all the grace products tended...
