Late to the party... very nice glog!
The red CARDI scorpion reminds me a lot the 7pot/7pod long from back in the day... Probably the same.
A lot of confusion always arised from Trinidad varieties and their naming...

I think that temperature setting issues are a bit overrated.
As experiment i've recently dried a bunch of bhuts and hybrids at temperatures ranging from 65 to 70C (149-158F) which is the max on my unit.
Even at the highest setting I've noticed neither color or flavor loss. It took 14 hours to...
Baccatum have a completely different flavor profile from chinense, you may love or hate them as well but i've never associated 'floral' to baccatum... I think 'lemony' (or a bit 'soapy' for the ones I don't like much). It's all a matter of personal taste and preferences.

Superhot: bhuts/nagas
Hot: chiltepins/bird peppers
Below that heat level there is a lot to choice.
Sincerely if you really aim at ZERO floral taste you should simply steer away from c.chinense at all... too bad they make the 99% of the THP threads.

Wow, excellent job Donnie. Thumbs up for years of dedication!
Normanillo and Nagaquin especially picked my attention.
Any particular reason (beside look) to use "black" genes? I've always found them a little sub-par flavor-wise.
INCREDIBLE grow and beautiful photography as always Rich!
Orange Thai and Cappuccino Tepin are two of my favs but i've never seen them growing that large!

The plant that you and Joyners refer to (very small pods) is the Prik Kee Noo Suan. The 'standard' Prik Kee Noo is usually larger but mind that's a generic name anyway. Maybe some THP folk can help you with seeds. I've grown them at the time but i was not thrilled by the micro sized pods and...
Thai Orange (both the large and the narrow ones that are hotter), Thai Red Hot, Prik Kee Noo, Thai Burapa, Prik Jaew, Thai Denchai 198 are all very good.
Thai Sun is very compact and may be managed easily indoors.
