And our small pick today... it is only temporary as there are MANY more coming!!! Not pictured are some Joe Cayenne, Thunder Mountain Long Horn, Sugar Rush Peach, Red Savina and Caribbean Red (just off to the left of pic). Couldn't get all in but minimal so just didn't bother :)
Then onto the craziness on our deck. Superhots are taller than me. I'm 6'5". Going to take a picture with me standing next to them to give you reference!
Pink Tiger x Reaper's are also going nuts. This has to be the coolest plant I've grown in a while. Purple stems. Purple peppers that turn creamy colored with purplish tones. Oh yeah - and plants (I have 6) are absolutely loaded!!
Ok, its been a while since I've updated this. Between work and us making things with the hot peppers - we've been a little busy :) We've made another 3 batches of Habanero Pepper Jelly, a new one Aji Pineapple pepper jelly - which I have to say... while we were making - I was not impressed...
That is all for today. I have to say, I listened to some of you here - and grew Aji Pineapple, Aji Amarillo, Sugar Rush Peach for the first time and have been pleasantly surprised by them all. Aji Amarillo loves my soil and plants are literally 5-6 feet tall with TONS of peppers on them...
Superhots are 4-6 foot tall. Can see on deck here... Picking a lot of Carolina Reaper and Apocalyspe Scorpions at this point (again, a little early for here - usually don't start rolling in until end Aug and early Sept).
On to some updated photos from garden. First the front half (Habanero Alley, Scotch Bonnet, Datil, Red Savina, Sugar Rush Peach, Serrano, Jalapeno, Big Thai and Thai Dragon... Habanero's are 4-5 feet tall and LOADED.
We had an abundance of Tomatoes in freezer so this weekend was our first time to make our first 2 huge batches of Hot Salsa this weekend. Hot Cayenne Salsa and Hot Habanero Salsa... Both have a good kick. Have QUITE a bit and still have to make more Salsa as we still have 3 gallon bags of...
Sorry for the delay. Been a little busy back here and I just came off travel. Here is our "PICK" from Saturday. Habanero (Helios) and a few others are coming in STRONG!. There is a reason I love the Helios Orange Habanero... you can see why here. It is only beginning of August and I picked...
And now for the PICK PIC. As stated earlier... We picked a "few" peppers yesterday 🤪 about a month early for this haul... so this could be a interesting year!!!
and on display :)
