    indoor Fungus :(

Bottom watering and sip type systems are a real thing, but allowing seedlings or any age plant in soil to sit in standing water that cannot be absorbed within 30 minutes or so is a whole different story. Seedling type grow mediums in particular soak up water like a sponge, and maintaining that...

    indoor Fungus :(

Might be bad, might be benign. You'll know in a day or two if it's a species that causes damping off because it's normally pretty quick. Is this in a commercial greenhouse where you've experienced damping off before? Most of the times I've had damping off issues the fungal mycelium wasn't even...

indoor Christmas harvest and the first harvest ever for me indoors!

Let's just say that if it flies, then I don't want it in my grow tent regardless if friend, foe, or benign. My wife would freak if something from my tent started flying around the house. Apart from 2 species of worms (night crawlers from the bait store and the "regular" kind from the...

    wanted WTB Carolina Reapers

I don't think I'd ever use that as some sort of "punishment" or hazing thing. That's higher than what police use to immobilize people they don't like. Call me cheap, but I don't want to spend money on lawyers right now if the victim had some underlying condition that led to a negative outcome.

pod Can anyone ID this C. chinense pepper?

Thanks! That definitely looks like them. A friend of mine said they were Caribbean Reds so I've been calling them that, but I kinda wondered if he knew what he was talking about. Lol

pod Can anyone ID this C. chinense pepper?

The mother peppers from which I got the seeds looked like these also. I tried a tiny sliver of the mother when I bought them and they are in a whole different world of hotness compared to any annum or fruitesan I've tried like siling labuyo or thai birdseye.

pod Can anyone ID this C. chinense pepper?

I dug the seeds out of a pepper sold at the store that were obviously mislabelled "carolina reapers" and am growing these inside my grow tent. I've been calling them Habaneros, but I have no idea really. They are very hot though. Many of them reach a good size. Here's a couple red ones, all...

indoor Christmas harvest and the first harvest ever for me indoors!

A bunch of my ghost peppers are turning color! This guy below is the darkest orange and first to turn. Does anyone know how long from this stage do they take to get deep red and ready for harvest?

    Anybody else growing cannabis?

Speaking of "fruity", the only weed I ever saw during the 70s were types of "Sativa", the plants with thin leaflets, and a whole different terpene profile that was more fruity or citrus. They grew very tall with longer internodes and had the perfect shape of christmas trees if left untopped...

The ILGM site is here if you want to take a look. They're pretty pricey for feminized seeds, so you may want to check a more local source. The very best seeds are found from European breeders IMO. Seedsman seeds give a great selection of rarer and new varieties, including a great selection of...

    Anybody else growing cannabis?

ILGM has a 2 for 1 deal on White Widow right now. I don't know why, but all the cannabis seed vendors I've randomly tried over the years have been legit. Wish I could say the same thing for pepper seeds. Lol I've tried my best to just get classic Reaper seeds. I tried Atlantic Pepper Seeds...

    Anybody else growing cannabis?

Awww, now I understand. When you mentioned vacuum, extraction, and separation, I was picturing a lot of empty cans of butane lying about. Lol I've been toying with the idea of fermenting pepper mash using the vacuum sealer. Since my mashes in half-gallon jars with an airlock seem to always turn...

indoor Christmas harvest and the first harvest ever for me indoors!

LEDs are a lot cheaper to run too due to higher efficiency. You might be surprised how well even regular screw-in household LED bulbs that come from the Dollar Store or Walmart work. I used to light this same 5X5 tent with plain LED bulbs with the plastic diffuser covers popped off for a total...

Vacuum gizmo? In Canada I think that's illegal anyway because those solvents used in a vacuum setup are not permitted due to safety issues. You can make bubble hash and press it, or do sift as much as you want though by law. I tend to follow the law now. Not so much 4+ beyond years back. Lol

Speaking of "other" food, I just made 2 camembert cheeses with some very finely chopped hot peppers added to the milk at the same time I added the calcium chloride. It's still in the molds settling down for the night. I already turned them 4 times. I'll turn them again in the morning. I...

Interesting and must be a good source of fiber. Lol j/k I have about 30 grams of 50/50 rosin in the freezer from a Nordle/Argyle grow a couple years back. I normally make gummies, but I've been toying with the idea of making gummies with a bit of super-hot peppers and the rosin together. Has...

Backyard theft of plants was really crazy during the first summer after Canadian legalization. Kids were jumping fences to harvest plants that weren't even in flower yet! Reddit has lots of posts showing surveillance videos of guys pulling them out of the ground, and sometimes carrying off...

indoor Christmas harvest and the first harvest ever for me indoors!

I think we can do that: As I mentioned, my 2 Red Caribbeans are out of control, especially the one in front that has very quickly turned into a small tree. I did top them at around their 4 leaf node, but once they started to flower I didn't want to cut the flowers off. I'll run out of...

The soil depth itself is about 16", but maybe less now due to continued decomposition. I haven't measured it lately. It used to be nearly 2 feet deep, but quickly settled over the first few months and then started to lower in volume year after year of reuse.

That particular phenotype of Bruce Banner you had going there looks frosty. Great job also on the training to ensure that the flowering parts are the ones that are exposed to light and not growing on the inside. Not to hard to trim and less "popcorn". Very nice!
