The best bag compost I’ve seen is is cotton burr compost. Making compost yourself is the way to go.

I hope so it’s suppose to reach 100 degrees next week. If the bugs don’t kill the plants the heat will lol. Think I’ll try that hot water dip on one of the plant to see what happen. Thanks for your input!

yes that’s very possible. I hit them with full strength MG when they were young once and I didn’t notice any ill affects to any plants except for the Pure Florida Datils which all 4 showed discoloration, it was weird. The other Datils from different sources were fine. Then later I applied...

was just looking at some others peppers in the main garden and I don't know what to think. Either I have a major infestation affecting all my peppers, or there is something else going on. All the peppers seem to have at least some curled and deformed leaves.

The broad mite infestation is worse than I thought. All the pepper plants starts show some sign of mite damage. These plants have been on the front porch away from the main garden. Unfortunately, there was a red hab sitting very close that may be affected as well :doh:

I’m on a roll so far this year, first leaf footed nymphs now broad mites. What’s next, head lice? 😾 Coincidentally permethrin is the active ingredient in head lice treatment products. Think I’ll experiment with this stuff and try dipping the whole plant like a flea bath, roots and all then repot...

Thanks for the warning Rick! Im usually pretty good about PPE but I’ll take extra precaution using this stuff. It was recommended to me at tractor supply for chigger control. It has a very strong chemical smell, like you said “nasty”. Should I take a different route dealing with these mites?
