I let common sunflowers grow, which are native here, but you might look into the mammoth variety.

Louisiana all day everyday! I like Tabasco, but only on fried eggs and hash browns. Cajun chef and Texas Pete will do in a pinch. Red hot is for wings only imo. Crystal didn't have the vinegar bite that I like from what I remember. Haven't tried any others.

Maybe the result of the aphid infestation and the unusual high humidity we've been having lately. Weird!

They have interesting tobacco varieties. Makes me want to get back into growing tobacco. I have a few different varieties, mainly for cigar wrappers.
