    PeriPeri's Grow 2018: South Africa

Thanks for the info guys - that's awesome! I have never heard of it - well not in Africa at least. No walnut trees around here. I have a shredder though... so may be worth experimenting for next season :)

    Devv-2018-Loving life in the dirt

That is fantastic news Scott. Once the soil changes and the worms move in that soil is just perfect and will get even better with time - make that soil nice and loamy. :metal:

    Stickman's 2018 Soil Mineralization Glog

Stickman is the king of short season. Hey, we are blessed in Africa with long seasons and sometimes it takes me as long to just germinate by seeds as it takes Rick to germinate grow and harvest his plants - and make the chillies into ten different yummy dishes and post it on the glog. We should...

    PeriPeri's Grow 2018: South Africa

Yay, orange Haba Gambia ripening up.       Heatwave... one of those free seeds. Looks very similar to an off pheno  Bulgarian Carrot     Bola/Cascabelle     Hungarian Black     7Pot Brown  - really? That looks orange to me! Dammit...

    PeriPeri's Grow 2018: South Africa

As mentioned, not much development last week. There were just a few colour changes.   White Bhuts changing to a ivory/pale yellow colour.     Much disappointment here. It seems my Bonda Ma Jacques are orange. I was rather looking forward to that amazing yellow colour - that is a let down! I...

    PeriPeri's Grow 2018: South Africa

Not to labour my point, but example of same soil - 1) from the field, exposed to the sun and 2) taken from under the weeds. The soil under the weeds is moist and fluffy. The soil from the exposed part of the field is dried out and powdery. Anyway, just something I am contemplating while...

    PeriPeri's Grow 2018: South Africa

The weather has been a bit iffy here the last week or so. I had turned off the irrigation in lieu of all the rain and seeing I have no way of overriding the irrigation as the farm is about an hours drive from home. Temps are getting back up there 28ºC, set to go into the 30's later this week...
