Thank you Rick buddy, but you see this is my problem - Knowing my luck, NORAD will miss the damn toaster and hit my MOA plant and knowing your luck with Pubescents, the toaster will hit your one and only aphid infested Pubescens instead  Best we just leaves the status quo as it is and...

    PeriPeri's Grow 2018: South Africa

I can't rule it out Walchit, I am spraying with Copper Soap, have reduced watering and cleared/thinned things out to get airflow going in the plants. I did originally space plants out a good 60cm apart, but the plants have grown quite substantially - so the plants are quite dense now.

    PeriPeri's Grow 2018: South Africa

I must add that I still have the cut open pods on the plate and some days later there is no progression/growth or further deterioration on the brown areas.

    PeriPeri's Grow 2018: South Africa

Hi Scott, thank you buddy for your feedback. No bugs or holes that I can see. I did have a look at that hole you mentioned, but it's just the way the cut has gone through the flesh. I did notice some powdery white attachments on the folds of the pods, which looks very much like Mealy Bugs, but...

Wow - mighty impressive! That way of thinking will sadly probably only come to Africa in 4057!

    PeriPeri's Grow 2018: South Africa

I will also be spraying with Copper Soap. It is quite pricey here, so I will do just the one treatment. Seeing that we are getting damp conditions in the morning and hot conditions throughout the day, its idea for fungal and bacterial flare ups. So probably not a bad idea also. I have already...

    PeriPeri's Grow 2018: South Africa

What I am trying to say, is please stay objective with any diagnosis :)   Seeing I do not exactly know what the issue is here, I have laid down another course of bone meal and fruit & flower fertilizer. I did not have any insecticide, but I am planning to spray plants with some Neudosan, which...

    PeriPeri's Grow 2018: South Africa

As mentioned, I spent much of the time weeding and clearing out leaves under the plants. But I could not help noticing that there have been some undesirable developments in the garden in very isolated instances. Some of the plants are showing pods with what starts out at first as brown measles...

These were supposed to be Bhut Jolokia X BBG7... I say these are fabulous 7Pot Yellows. Loving these - no matter... great colour, super size and well, the taste test will reveal the rest. can't wait to try my first hot pod this season... these look like they fit the bill  :onfire:     ...

The Aji Golden are also changing colour. I do love Baccatums, but hell I have to say they can be slow to the finish line for sure  .   One green pod got plucked in my eager haste to pick the ripe ones lol, but I think it will ripen off the plant still. Can't wait to try these!    ...

    PeriPeri's Grow 2018: South Africa

The first of my Douglahs have changed colour. The smallest of the bunch ripening first. I see a change in pheno and in colour this season. As always, my Douglahs have been great producers. This season the texture of the Douglahs is also much more pronounced and the colour is more reddish than...

    PeriPeri's Grow 2018: South Africa

Getting a bit slow on the updates here folks - apologies! We were at the farm Sunday/Monday which is always good as it is quiet there on Mondays. Everything is ticking along nicely - although never fast enough (of course). I had another snake encounter on Sunday, this time in the peppers. I...

    2018 - The Farm

Trent buddy, things are looking up! Glad to see seedlings are coming right and growing nicely. Holding thumbs on the lights, I am sure they will arrive. Otherwise, I suggest you take that tractor of yours and take some of that fishy potting soil and dump it at the PO's front door :)

    Stickman's 2018 Soil Mineralization Glog

Looking awesome buddy. I like your creativity on the set up - really neat. I can't wait to see them in the dirt - not long now! Things are cooling down here in the mornings... so the sun is slowly but surely heading your way ;)

Wow that sugar house looks interesting, we have lots of sugar cane in South Africa but nothing like that. I have battled with them Cardi Scorpions for the longest time. Success has evaded me every year so far. Similarly with MoA's... it's like some serious voodoo going on with them Caribbean...
