    Cutting the top off will work for chives. Cutting the bottom off will work for creating a new onion bulb. This works with any onion...not just a potato onion.

    By down potting, you are taking a plant out of a pot and planting into a smaller pot. In this case it sounds like he is acually down potting his datils into their original seed cells.

    Thanks guys! The south side MoA patch is where I had my 4' TFMs and Peppermania scotch bonnets from last years grow. They were spaced out 2' by 2' and got a bit crowded. This time with the MoA bonnets I spaced them 3' by 2' to make harvesting easier. Looks like this pod is forming MoA...
