If you want to make your first ever sauce, I would suggest blend and cook with garlic and onion and salt a bit of vinegar.
Start with a small batch and go bigger later.

I grow in raised beds , pots and sub-irrigated planters . All 100% organic homemade compost . I have a big whole in the back yard where everything up to 10mm branches go into , wait 2 years and then dig it up . Works like magic. But there are faster ways...
