    P. Dreadie Memorial Group Grow 2016

I finally have a contribution to make to this fine thread! I have a few plants on the go right now and will have to decide which ones to keep and which ones to give away to other chili loving friends. A few progress pics of my plants. I'm growing in coco using a variety of General Hydroponics...

    Nutrient Deficiency?

Go and review my glogs before you start leveling accusations. Neil

    Nutrient Deficiency?

You've been around for a bit. I've seen your posts. Frankly it wouldn't matter what I say, link or post, scientific or not. You're right on your head and will go to great lengths to "prove" that your right, much like the people that argue the earth is flat. That's the part that I have no...

    Nutrient Deficiency?

This is a rather trivial topic that you seem to have taken to heart solid7. There is a world of information out there that anyone could use to argue a point - rose growers vs medicinal growers. Heck some even argue that the world is flat. At the end of the day it's no skin off my nose if you...

    Nutrient Deficiency?

Yes it will. I've used CNS17 with and without bloom. Better results with compared to without. Neil

    Nutrient Deficiency?

The small outlay will aid in promoting additional flowers and pods. Sent from my SM-G900W8 using Tapatalk

    Nutrient Deficiency?

If you're going to grow right through to harvest in coco I'd suggest that you also pick up the bloom formula too. Neil

health What's wrong with this chili plant?

Coco is a bit of a different beast than peat and soil. The composition looks like it's a very fine pith, which I'm not a fan of. Some add perlite, but I found that my chili plants do way better after I ran the medium through a wire mesh strainer and just kept the coarse coco. You also need some...

    Chilidude season 2017

I agree. I got 2 1 gallon Ziploc bags full of dried peppers from last year's grow. It's why I'm scaling back and trying new varieties this year. Here's hoping for a hot summer! Neil

    Chilidude season 2017

Wow you really cut back the grow. I'm shooting for about 6 plants in total too. Just so much extra bottled water when I use the fabric pots. Also more of a hassle to transport when I go away and need someone to care for them. Neil

    PaulG 2017

Looking good Paul! I love it when I go away for a bit an come back to a plant that looks like it exploded! They seem to grow so much faster when you don't check on them 48 times a day. Or at least that's my experience Neil

    Blisters 2017 LED Coco grow

Yea I live in a cold part of the country and don't have much of a grow season. It's actually why I switched everything up and grow chili's in coco now. Last year was my best to date. Hoping to improve on it this year!   Thanks! The BOC's are a late entry to the season, but they're...

    Blisters 2017 LED Coco grow

Couple of updates. First one is that I scored on some coco. $6 per 5kg block! Guy said he has 3 more blocks that I should be able to pick up on Monday. Second update is that I moved some BOC's to new homes. Roots weren't overly developed, but I'm hoping that they'll shoot up now that they're...

    Stickman's 2017 Minimalist Glog

Yea they're the large carpenter ants that come out searching for a new home early in the season. I'm guessing that they find the coco a great, easy digging medium to build a home in. It's kind of annoying to come out and see a pile of coco next to the drain hole because one burrowed it's way in...

    Blisters 2017 LED Coco grow

Thanks for the kind words guys. I still have two months before plant out so I expect the plants to get larger. I feel like I'm a bit behind compared to last year, but if my summer is as hot as last year I should still be in good standing. The P. Dreadie's continue to march on. The BOC'S, and...
